Histeriah formed in Porto Alegre in the early 1980s, part of Brazil's underground rock scene. The band included vocalist Negra Li, guitarist Chico Chico, bassist Fernando Bass, and drummer Paulo Drums. Their debut album 'Sangue Bom' came out in 1986, followed by 'Nação Zumbi' in 1988 and 'A Última Chance' in 1991.
Their 1991 album gave them the song 'A Última Chance,' which became one of their most recognized tracks. Other songs like 'Guerreiro,' 'Lutar,' and 'Manto de Histeria' show the band's straightforward rock approach with some funk and soul touches.
Histeriah developed a reputation for live performances during their active years. The band faced some lineup changes and challenges along the way, but kept recording and playing through the late 1980s and early 1990s.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
