Hollaphonic formed in Sweden in 1999, started by Oscar Holter and Patrick Pålsson. They worked in underground clubs and festivals for a few years before putting out their first album, 'Contact,' in 2005. That record included 'Save Me (feat. Xriss),' which got some attention.
After that, Patrick Pålsson left in 2008. Oscar Holter kept the project going with new members Johan Ekhé and John Eriksson. They released another album called 'Departure' in 2010, which sounded different from their earlier work.
There was some talk around 2006 about a song called 'Porcelain' and whether its melody was borrowed from another artist. The band denied it. They kept making music after that, putting out EPs and singles over the following years.
