They signed with Warner Music Canada in 2013 and released 'White Paint' that same year, which drew some criticism about moving toward the mainstream. Their 2015 album 'Lightening Bug' took a more experimental turn. The band went on hiatus in 2017 while Versteeg dealt with mental health issues.

Hollerado returned in 2020 with 'Retaliation Road,' their fourth album, which was noted for its more reflective tone. Tracks like 'Reno Chunk' and 'Age Of Communication' continued their pattern of energetic, guitar-driven songs with a wry edge.
