Homero was a Peruvian band led by singer-songwriter Homero Hernández. They came from Huancayo, a province in Peru's central highlands, and their music often reflected the social and political climate of the 1980s there. In 1989, they released the album "Contra Viento Y Marea," which included the title track that became one of their best-known songs. Other songs like "En Tu Telaraña" and "Maribel" also appear among their most remembered work. The band's lineup included Homero Hernández on vocals and guitar, Alex Acuña on drums, and Willy Lara on bass.
