Homero Teclapia formed in Monterrey, Mexico in 2006 with Rodrigo "Chepe" García on vocals, Juan Carlos "Charly" Montemayor on guitar, José Alfredo "Pope" Rodríguez on bass, and Héctor Jaime "Torombolo" Salinas on drums. They put out their first album, "El Sonido de la Nada," the following year.
Their 2009 album "Corre Atrás" gave them one of their better-known songs, and they kept releasing records through 2013's "Tijuana Sound Machine." The band's mix of rock and electronic elements didn't always sit comfortably with critics, who sometimes questioned where they fit.
In 2014, drummer Héctor Jaime Salinas died. The existing history stops there, without saying what happened next.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
