Hometown formed in Minneapolis in 2011, with Paul Cereghini and Joe Leonard on vocals and guitar, and Max Vath on bass. They put out a debut EP called "Make or Break" that same year. The song "The Night We Met" came out in 2013 and did well on the Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart, which led to a deal with Dualtone Records.
Their first full album, "Home," arrived in 2015. They've released other records since, like "Everything Changes" in 2016, "Us" in 2019, and "The Quiet" in 2022. Vath left the band in 2017, leaving Cereghini and Leonard to continue as a duo.
