Horacio Báez Campos was born in Mazatlán, Sinaloa in 1956. He grew up hearing bolero, ranchera, and banda music around the house, which shaped the way he wrote songs later on.
He started playing in local bands in the 1970s. His self-titled debut album came out in 1983 and included 'Dejarme Fué Un Error,' the song that first got him noticed. Other songs like 'El Corrido de Gael' and 'No Me Quisiste Escuchar' followed.
He kept recording through the 80s and 90s, putting out albums like 'Mi Única Mujer' and 'Corazón De Fuego.' In the late 90s there were some copyright issues, but he returned to recording afterward with albums like 'El Regreso' in 2000.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
