Hot Machine was a London band that formed in 1970. They're remembered mostly for their cover of the Beatles song "Day Tripper / She Loves You." The lineup included John Peel on vocals and guitar, Paul Quinn on bass, Chris Cutler on drums, and David Cunningham on keyboards.
Their version of "Day Tripper" got some attention at the time, and they followed it with "She Loves You." They put out a self-titled album in 1970 that featured those two tracks, and then another record called "Hot Machine 2" in 1971.
The band broke up in 1973. Their Beatles covers have stuck around in various forms since then.
