Hot Natured was a London-based electronic music collective formed in the late 2000s by Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, and the duo Luca C & Ali Love. They released their debut EP "Benediction" in 2010, followed by the album "Different Kind of Heat" the next year. Their sound pulled from house and techno with melodic hooks and soulful vocals, heard on tracks like "Reverse Skydiving" and "Different Sides."
In 2012, they were involved in a legal dispute with Ed Sheeran over the unauthorized use of his vocals in "Benediction," which was settled out of court. Around that time, they also faced criticism about their use of guest vocalists and questions about production credits. They kept releasing music through the 2010s, including EPs like "Forward Motion" and "The Haunted House" and the album "Parallel Lines" in 2014.
Hot Natured dissolved in 2018. Their recordings, including songs like "Electricity" and "Alternate State" with Roisin Murphy, remain part of the late-2000s and 2010s house and techno conversation from London.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
