Hot Since 82 is the project of Daley Padley and Jamie Jones, who started working together in Leeds in the late 2000s. They met at a local music event and found they both liked house and techno. Their early tracks had driving rhythms and hypnotic melodies that caught some attention.
In 2012, they put out 'Buggin'', a single with a strong bassline and vocal samples that did well on dance charts. That track helped them get booked at festivals and clubs around Europe. They've also released songs like 'Eye Of The Storm' with Liz Cass and 'Shadows'.
They've kept making house and techno music, sometimes trying out deep house or acid house sounds. Their views on the music industry have occasionally caused some talk.
