Hugo Osment came up in São João da Barra, a small town in Brazil. He started playing in local bars and clubs, drawing from Brazilian songwriters like Caetano Veloso and Chico Buarque, as well as figures like Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen.
His debut album in 2010 was titled after the song 'Anjos sem Asas (Angels Like You),' a ballad that became his best-known work. The record blended folk, rock, and bossa nova elements. He has since released several other albums, including 'Vagalumes' in 2014, 'Retratos' in 2018, and 'Sonoridades' in 2022.
Osment has mostly performed solo, though he has worked with other musicians. His catalog includes songs like 'Aonde Estiver (Tributo À Márcia Abreu),' 'Arco-íris,' and 'Como Na Primeira Vez.'
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
