A Minneapolis band that started with melodic hardcore before weaving in electronic textures.
For their early sound, 'Weathered Town' still hits hard. 'Departure' and 'Bottle It Up' frame where they've gone since.
Their 2011 album 'Weathered Town' gave them a breakthrough with its raw depiction of emotional turmoil. Songs like 'Departure' and 'Bottle It Up' show how they've kept exploring that atmospheric blend without settling into one genre. They've drawn some criticism for their electronic elements, but it never shifted their direction.
Hundredth formed in Minneapolis in 2008 with early EPs like 'Posture' and 'Shattered + Hollow' mixing atmospheric post-hardcore with melodic hardcore. After 'Weathered Town' in 2011, they put out 'Parallels' in 2013 while guitarist Kenny Olson recovered from a serious car accident. Their music kept exploring electronic elements woven into their rock foundation.
