I Am Haunted formed in Philadelphia in 2009 around vocalist and guitarist Bryan Garris, bassist Dave Mehling, and drummer Kevin Hynes. Their debut album 'Reverence' came out in 2014, with the single 'Revulsion' gaining attention for its raw intensity. The band's music often deals with heavy themes like mental illness and addiction, which drew both praise and criticism.
They followed up with albums like 'Disintegration' in 2016, 'Contagion' in 2017, and 'Unseen' in 2020. Their sound has incorporated more electronic and industrial elements over time while keeping that atmospheric, heavy foundation. Another track, 'Victimize,' shows their consistent approach to dark, introspective material.
The current lineup includes Garris and Hynes from the original trio, along with bassist Nate Kincaid. They've maintained a steady output despite some lineup changes early on, building a following in underground circles without much mainstream recognition.
