The band I Can't Go On, I'll Go On formed in the early 2000s with singer-songwriter Chris Martin and guitarist Jonny Buckland. Their debut album 'Parachutes' came out in 2000, followed by records like 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' and 'Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends.' The lineup also included Guy Berryman on bass and Will Champion on drums.
They had a single called 'Everything I Own' that got some attention. Other songs in their catalog include 'Amphetamine' and 'Someone To Fall Back On.'
Some critics felt their songwriting became predictable over time, but they kept making music anyway. They released albums fairly regularly, with 'Music of the Spheres' coming out in 2021.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
