I Cry Wolfe formed in Manchester in 2003 with Steve Kelly on vocals, Chris Blunt on guitar, and Andy Melnychenko on bass. Their debut album was called "Diary of a Lost Soul." They put out a few more records after that, including "The Gates of Hell" and "The Revelation."

Their track "DansKing" got some attention when it came out. People sometimes talked about the lyrics, which could be pretty dark, but that seemed to connect with a certain part of their audience. Another song people know is "The Backseat Game."

They played a kind of electronic music with atmospheric guitars and driving basslines. It was moody stuff you could dance to, which gave them a particular spot in that Manchester scene.
