I Delfini formed in Genoa in the late 1980s, with Enzo Malepasso on lead vocals, Giuseppe Parodi on keyboards, Mara Parodi on vocals, Simone Sgarbi on bass, and Paolo Costa on drums. Their debut single was "Ti Amo." They released their album "Femina" in 1989, which included the song "Quella Dei Sogni Miei." That track became their most recognizable work.
They put out several albums through the 1990s, including "Il Cuore Del Mare" in 1991, "Respiro" in 1993, and "Non Sono Un Angelo" in 1996. Another song people remember is "Stasera sono solo." They released a compilation called "The Best Of I Delfini" in 1997 and another album, "L'Isola Della Luce," in 2003.
