A Brazilian band that mixes folk, pop, and alternative rock with lyrics about emotional complexity.
For a good sense of their sound, try "Sem Replay" and "Intenso." Renata's lyrics give those songs their weight.
Their 2014 single "Sem Replay" became a breakout hit and led to their debut album. They've kept writing songs that deal with social themes, like "Inteligência Artificial" and "O Problema Sou Eu." The fact that they've collaborated with Chico Buarque says something about their place in Brazilian music.
They formed in São Paulo after vocalist Renata Baptista and guitarist Felipe Rodrigues met at a music academy. Playing local bars and festivals led to four studio albums, from "Sem Replay" in 2014 to "Fé" in 2021.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
