Iasmin formed in Rio de Janeiro in 2010 with vocalists Ingrid Souza and Kyara Rosa. The band's 2014 single "Embriagados de Paixão" became a national hit in Brazil, pulling them from local stages to wider recognition.
Their music draws from Brazilian pop, sertanejo, and funk, with songs like "Previsível" and "Saideira" showing their range. Beyond the founding singers, the group includes percussionist Carol Barcellos, guitarist Luana Souza, bassist Priscila Sena, and drummer Thaís Xavier.
Some of their lyrics addressing social issues and female empowerment drew criticism from conservative groups, but the band maintained their approach. They've continued releasing music through the years, with tracks like "Fazer o Quê?" and "Gosto Tanto" appearing alongside their breakthrough hit.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
