Ideologia Cristã

Ideologia Cristã formed in 2004 with vocalist André Luiz, guitarist Renan Oliveira, and bassist Lucas Alves. They're a Brazilian Christian metal band, though that description doesn't quite capture how their music has been received. Their song 'Quebrando Preconceito' became something of an anthem, addressing prejudice directly in a way that blended heavy metal with Christian themes.

That blend of metal with openly Christian lyrics created some friction early on. The band faced skepticism from parts of the traditional Christian community about their musical approach. Their lyrics often tackled social issues like inequality and discrimination, which sparked debate among some religious leaders and conservative groups.

They've released albums including 'Idolatria Ou Fé,' 'Resistindo ao Sistema,' and 'Livre Pra Adorar.' Other songs like 'Julgado por Deus' and 'Em Busca da Paz' show their continued focus on faith and social themes. The current lineup includes drummer Davi Thomaz alongside the founding members.
