Archive material and source history
Ignis Music started in Rio de Janeiro around 2010, with Gabriel Dias on vocals, Rafael Cordeiro on guitar, and Pedro Almeida on bass. Their debut album 'Chamas da Paixão' came out in 2013, and its track 'Vem Queimar Meu Coração' got them some attention in Brazilian rock circles.
In 2016, guitarist Rafael Cordeiro died in a car accident. The band brought in Fábio Lima on guitar and kept going, putting out albums like 'Fênix' in 2018 and 'Inferno' in 2021. Songs like 'Rios de Amor (Mais Profundo)' and 'Homens e Anjos' show up in their later work.
Their lyrics and stage presence drew criticism from conservative corners at times, but they didn't really back down from that. They're still playing rock with that lineup.
