Igor Viriato is a singer and songwriter from São Paulo, Brazil. He grew up listening to samba and bossa nova, which shaped his approach to music. After facing early rejections from record labels, he kept writing and performing until he caught a producer's attention.
His 2015 single 'Tudo Pra Te Ver' became his breakthrough, earning him a following with its melodic appeal and emotional lyrics. The song shares its name with his debut album from that same year. He went on to release other albums like 'Amor de Ida e Volta' in 2017 and 'Tempo Pra Crescer' in 2020.
Viriato has worked with notable Brazilian artists including Milton Nascimento, Caetano Veloso, and Marisa Monte. His live band features guitarist Renato Pinheiro, bassist Pedro Sá, drummer Daniel Jobim, and keyboardist Guilherme Monteiro. In 2018, he faced plagiarism accusations over a song that resembled another artist's work, which led to a public apology.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
