Igraine formed in Salvador, Bahia in 2003 with Carolina Costa on lead vocals, André Barreto on guitar, Lucas Santana on drums, and Danilo Andrade on bass. They released their self-titled debut album in 2006, followed by the 2008 album Para Com Isso, which featured the song of the same name that became their most recognizable track.
In 2010, the band faced legal action over plagiarism allegations regarding Para Com Isso, though they continued working afterward. They put out two more albums: Nossos Dias in 2012 and A Beleza das Coisas Simples in 2017.
