A São Paulo band that blends pop, rock, and Brazilian folk without settling into any single category.
For a good sense of their sound, start with 'A Essência' and 'Todos Os Mistérios'. They frame what the band does pretty well.
IHC's music has a way of sticking with you even when it doesn't fit clean labels. Their 2011 debut album 'A Essência' gave them their title track, which became one of their most recognized songs. Tracks like 'Todos Os Mistérios' and 'Confinados' show the range they can work within that blend.
The band formed in 2007 around Heitor Gomes and Alexandre Castilho, with Daniel Toledo and Pedro Henrique completing the original lineup. They put out 'A Essência' in 2011, and in 2014 their song 'Olha Bem' drew accusations of homophobia, which the band denied.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
