Archive material and source history
IIIrd Sovereign formed in Mumbai around 2013, started by vocalist Rahul Dedhia with guitarist Sanil Kumar and bassist Sanchit Sawant. Their early sound pulled from thrash and heavy metal, with some melodic vocals mixed in. In 2017, they put out their first single "Destined to Suffer," which got some attention in India's metal circles.
They followed that with an EP called "Crimson Assault" in 2018, then a full album titled "Oath of Damnation" in 2021. The album showed a shift toward more melodic elements and introspective lyrics compared to their earlier work. Other songs in their catalog include "Dying Sun," "Funeral Rites," and "Suicidal Corpse."
The band's lineup eventually settled with Dedhia on vocals, Kumar on guitar, Sawant on bass, and Rohan Rajguru on drums.
