Archive material and source history
Ike! Ina-chuu Takkyuubu was a Japanese pop quartet formed in 1999 by four students from Ina-chuu High School in Niigata: Ryoma Kitajima on vocals and guitar, Toshiya "TOSHI" Yamagishi on vocals and bass, Keisuke Kimura on drums, and Yuto Hanaoka on keyboards. They broke through in 2003 with their debut single "Shake, Shake as You Wish," which topped the Oricon charts with its catchy, upbeat energy.
After that initial success, the band faced some legal disputes with their record label, which slowed their output for a few years. They went on hiatus in 2007, then reunited in 2010 and kept making music. Their albums included "Rendezvous" in 2004, "Sakura to Maiyotte" in 2011, and "Kusare-En" in 2014.
