Il Divo - A Musical Affair

Il Divo formed as a vocal quartet with members from different countries: Spanish baritone Carlos Marín, French tenor Sébastien Izambard, American tenor David Miller, and Swiss bass-baritone Urs Bühler. Their debut album in 2004 included their version of "Memory," which became widely known. They worked in a style that mixed classical vocal technique with popular songs and show tunes like "All I Ask Of You" and "Bring Him Home."

Carlos Marín died in 2016, and the group continued with the remaining three members. They recorded several albums including Ancora in 2005 and Siempre in 2006, which featured Spanish-language material. Their recordings often drew from musical theater and operatic pop, with songs such as "If Ever I Would Leave You" and "Tonight" appearing in their repertoire.
