Il Pan del Diavolo formed in Turin in 1991, originally calling themselves The Devils before settling on their current name. The band included Enrico Ruggeri, Francesco Salvi, and Marco Canepa, who started playing together with what the existing history describes as a shared passion for music.
Their debut album came out in 1992, simply titled "Il Pan del Diavolo." They followed it with records like "Faccio Un Casino" in 1995. Some of their songs that listeners know include "Gravità Zero," "L'amore Che Porti," and "Donna Dell'italia."
Their lyrics often dealt with social and political themes, questioning authority and convention. They've put out nine studio albums total, mixing rock with folk and progressive elements.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
