Ilonqueen

Ilonqueen is a Spanish duo formed in 2019 by vocalist and guitarist Ilona (Elena Gómez) and keyboardist and producer Queen (Miguel Ángel Gómez). They're based in Barcelona and work in a space between electronic and alternative rock, with some pop and ambient textures in the mix.

Their Spanish-language cover of TK from Ling Tosite Sigure's "Unravel" became a notable track for them, helping reach listeners outside their immediate scene. Other songs in their catalog include "Adamas," "Hikaru Nara- Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso," and "Romeo & Cinderella," which show their focus on anime and vocal-driven material.

Their debut EP was called "Fragmentos," with songs like "Pétalos" and "Sueños Rotos." They followed it with releases titled "Espiral" and "Silencios." The writing tends toward introspective themes, and their sound has drawn comparisons to acts like Radiohead and Coldplay, though some critics have questioned how distinct their approach is from those influences.
