Their debut album 'Amigas para Sempre' came out in 1987, and the title track became a popular anthem about female friendship. They released several more albums through the early 1990s, including 'Além do Horizonte' in 1989 and 'Nosso Tempo' in 1992.
Songs like 'Limite e Espaço' and 'No Más Segundos' reflected this perspective. Preta Gil, who played bass in addition to singing, was particularly known for speaking out on social issues.
