Imaginoid formed in Warsaw around 2000, with Piotr Rogucki on vocals, Tomasz Wolski on guitar, Robert Miszkiewicz on bass, and Michał Sobolewski on drums. They put out their first album in 2001, followed by others like 'Stare Miasto' in 2004 and 'Luksus' in 2007.
Their music mixed rock with electronic touches and sometimes pulled from Polish folk melodies. The song 'Będzie Biało' came out in 2012 on an album of the same name. Their lyrics occasionally drew criticism from conservative circles in Poland.
After their original drummer left in 2004, the band went through some lineup changes before settling on a permanent replacement. They kept recording and playing shows, but avoided the kind of dramatic career arc that gets turned into a neat story.
