Impacto Rock formed in Porto Alegre in 1985 with vocalist and guitarist Beto Rockfeller, bassist Mauro Harai, and drummer Jack Endler. They played hard rock with lyrics that addressed Brazil's political landscape, which sometimes drew criticism from conservative groups and led to radio bans.
Their 1989 album 'Amanhã' gave them national recognition, with the title track becoming one of their most well-known songs. Other tracks like 'Mais Uma Vez' and 'Tudo que Passou' also became staples of their live shows. They released several albums through the early 1990s, including 'O Poder da Música' in 1991 and 'Resistência' in 1993.
Beto Rockfeller's vocals and stage presence were central to the band's sound. Their music maintained a straightforward rock approach while touching on social themes, which resonated with certain audiences during that period in Brazil.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
