A Finnish black metal band that mixes grindcore and punk with industrial touches.
If you want their unfiltered approach, 'The Endless War' and 'Goat Perversion' are good places to start. They sound exactly like you'd expect from the name.
Impaled Nazarene matters because they've never softened their sound, even when it cost them. Their 2003 U.S. tour was canceled after officials flagged their lyrics and artwork as offensive. Songs like 'Ghettoblaster' and 'Steelvagina' show how they keep the aggression raw while adding industrial textures on albums like 'Rapture'.
Mika Luttinen started the band in 1990 with guitarist Antti Rissanen. They put out 'Suomi Finland Perkele' in 1994, then worked industrial elements into 'Rapture' by 1998. Luttinen has held things together through constant lineup shuffles.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
