Implemento Urbano

Implemento Urbano formed in São Paulo in the mid-1990s with Alexandre "Xandão" Silva, Fábio "Fabinho" Martins, and Márcio "Marcelinho" Ramos. They worked with hip-hop, funk, and Brazilian rhythms, and their early material dealt with urban inequality. Their debut album in 2000 was called "Desilusão," which included the title track that became well-known. They followed it with albums like "Baile de Favela" and "Meu Mundo É Aqui."

Some of their songs faced radio bans for addressing police brutality, though the specific track mentioned in some accounts isn't among their most listed songs.
