Background notes

Archive material and source history

The Impossibles came out of Los Angeles in the late 1990s. Their first single was "Back For The Attack!" which had a punk and metal energy to it. They put out a self-titled debut album in 2000 that included that track along with songs like "Erin With An 'E'" and "Hey, You Kids!"

Their lyrics sometimes touched on rebellion and social themes, which drew some criticism at the time. The band kept writing through the early 2000s, releasing another album called "Unleashed" in 2003. They never really became a mainstream name, but songs like "Plan B" and "(Never) Say Goodbye" found an audience with listeners who liked that particular blend of rock styles.
