In Mourning formed in 2000 from the remains of the Swedish death metal band A Canorous Quintet, with founding members Åke Jönsson on guitar and vocals and Björn Pettersson on bass. They brought in vocalist Tobias Netzell, drummer Daniel Liljekvist, and guitarist Peter Tuthill to complete their initial lineup.
After Netzell left in 2006, Johan Herbertson joined as the new vocalist. The band has released albums like 'Shrouded Divine' in 2002, 'The Weight of Oceans' in 2012, and 'The Bleeding Veil' in 2022. Their songs include 'Celestial Tear' and 'Grind Denial'.
Their current lineup includes Jönsson, Pettersson, Herbertson, guitarist Joakim Strandberg Nilsson, and drummer Mario Kempe.
