In Nature formed in the early 2000s in Manaus, with percussionist Dudu Alves and guitarist Gabriel Ferreira among the musicians who started the group. They worked with traditional Brazilian rhythms like forró, carimbó, and maracatu, though they weren't interested in fitting neatly into commercial pop categories.
Their song "Companheiro Chá" came out in 2011 and became their most recognizable track. They've also recorded other songs like "Ei Cara" and "Filhos de Judá." The group released albums including their self-titled debut in 2009 and "Supernova" in 2016.
In Nature has worked with other Brazilian artists including Chico Buarque and Elza Soares, and also collaborated with Damon Albarn of Blur.
