In Solitude formed in 2002 in Uddevalla, Sweden, with Pelle Lindström on vocals, Henrik Palm on guitar, Gustaf Lindström on bass, and Peter Stjärnvind on drums. They put out two EPs, 'The Death, Madness, and the Beyond' in 2004 and 'Lavender' in 2007, before Lindström left the band. Patrik Gardberg took over as vocalist.
Their first full album, 'The World Will Fall,' came out in 2008. They followed it with 'Sister' in 2011 and 'Death's Crown Is Victory' in 2013. Songs like 'Witches Sabbath' and 'Dance Of The Adversary' show their mix of doom metal atmosphere and black metal intensity.
In Solitude's music often dealt with occult themes, which sometimes drew accusations of promoting Satanism. The band kept a fairly low profile about those controversies, letting the records speak for themselves.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
