INDAHKUS is a Japanese-Indonesian pop duo made up of Rio Sumitomo and Rendy Pandugo. They first gained attention with their 2016 single '24 Hours,' which found listeners in different countries despite the language differences in their music.
Rio handles most of the vocal work while Rendy writes many of the lyrics and plays acoustic guitar. Their 2017 follow-up 'Love Me Better' and the 2019 ballad 'Good Night' continued in a similar pop style with straightforward emotional themes.
Early on, the two had to work through some communication issues because of their different backgrounds, but they managed to build a collaborative process. At one point, rumors about their personal relationship circulated among fans, though they kept that separate from their music.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
