Infanto Infinito formed in São Paulo in 1982 as a trio with Maurício Pereira, Pedro Bial, and Isabela Bretz. They put out their self-titled debut album in 1984, followed by 'Tente Viver' in 1986 and 'Seria Perfeito' in 1988. Their song 'Meu Por do Sol' became something of an anthem for the group.
The lineup shifted over time. Isabela Bretz left in 1986, and Pedro Bial departed in 1990 to work in journalism. Maurício Pereira kept the project going with other musicians. Their sound moved toward electronic and ambient textures on later records like 'Hell Yeah!' from 1994.
