INFECTA formed in São Paulo in 1999 around vocalist Leandro Sá, guitarist Fábio Góes, and bassist Nino Ferreira. They spent their early years playing local bars and small gigs while dealing with the usual financial constraints of a new band.
Their debut album 'Acústico MTV' came out in 2006 and brought them national attention in Brazil.
Their most well-known song is 'Depois da Tempestade' from their 2008 album of the same name. The track became something of an anthem for the band, capturing the sound they'd developed through those São Paulo club years.
