Archive material and source history
Infected Mushroom is an Israeli electronic duo made up of Amit Duvdevani and Erez Eisen. They started in the early 90s and put out their first album, "The Gathering," in 1999. That record mixed psytrance with drum and bass and ambient touches, which got them noticed.
They followed it with albums like "B.P. Empire" and "Classical Mushroom," sticking with that layered, shifting electronic style. A track like "I Wish" shows how they build melodies into driving rhythms without settling into one genre. In 2008, they had a copyright case in Israel over sample use, which went to the Supreme Court and ended in their favor.
They've kept releasing music since, with about a dozen studio albums so far. The sound still pulls from psytrance and progressive house, but it's hard to pin down exactly, it's just what they do.
