Infected formed in Ukraine around 2000, playing a style of metal that mixed heavy aggression with symphonic elements. Their albums include 'Infected' from 2004, 'The Shadow of Your Soul' in 2006, and 'Victoriam Speramus' from 2008.
By 2010 they released 'Alcoholic Storm', which shares its name with one of their tracks, 'Alcoholic Storm / Flotsam & Jetsam'. Another song from their catalog is 'Brown Tormentor / Unhappy End'. The band's lineup has featured vocalist Volodymyr Tarnavskyy, guitarists Vlad Vashchenko and Alexey Ovchinnikov, bassist Max Lebedynets, and drummer Andrey Vashchenko.
Their music sometimes drew attention for explicit lyrical content, but they maintained a following in the metal scene. Later releases included 'Flotsam & Jetsam' in 2016.
