A Rio de Janeiro band that mixed rock with Brazilian rhythms across three albums.
For a quick sense of their range, listen to "Mudar o Mundo" and then "Still Alone." They're not the same mood at all.
Inuyasha's music mattered because they actually did the fusion thing when it wasn't the obvious move. Their song "Mudar o Mundo" got popular for its social themes, but you can hear the Brazilian rhythms in tracks like "Densa Floresta" and "Kaze No Naka e." They faced some skepticism about the style but kept playing it.
They formed in Rio with Pedro Henrique on vocals, Henrique Passos on guitar, Marcos Guerra on bass, and João Pedro on drums. Their first album was "Furacão," followed by "Voo Livre" and "Explosão."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
