Invasor

Invasor formed in Rio de Janeiro during the mid-1980s, pulling together members from several disbanded bands. The original lineup included Marcio Alvarenga on vocals, Ricardo Mello on guitars, Paulo Serafim on bass, and Gustavo Zuba on drums. Over time, only Alvarenga and Serafim remained as consistent members through various lineup changes.

They released their self-titled debut in 1988, followed by albums like Reflexões in 1990, Fortaleza in 1992, and Excalibur in 1994. Their sound leaned toward raw, aggressive heavy metal with Alvarenga's vocals cutting through the riffs. Lyrically, they often touched on social injustice and rebellion.

The track "Reflexões" became something of an anthem for the band, with its introspective lyrics and melodic approach. Invasor continued putting out records through the 2000s, including Agonia in 2002 and Rebelião in 2006, marking a steady presence in Brazilian metal without much mainstream fanfare.
