The Isbells formed in Atlanta in 2008 around siblings Amy and Derek Isbell. Amy handles lead vocals, guitar, keyboards, and songwriting, while Derek contributes vocals, guitar, and songwriting. They're joined by Bradley Kopp on bass and backing vocals and Jason Adamo on drums.
Their debut album 'The Hem of His Garment' came out in 2009, followed by 'Live at the Goat Farm Arts Center' in 2011 and 'Stowaway' in 2013. The song 'Elation' appeared on their 2014 album 'Sirens' and became a fan favorite.
In 2015, the band faced plagiarism accusations regarding 'Elation,' but an investigation cleared them of wrongdoing. They continued making music after that.
