In 2008, he worked with producer Rafael Ramos on the single "Cisnei Negro." The song became a hit in Brazil, which brought him wider attention. After that, he released albums including O Som do Meu Coração in 2010, O Filho do Trovão in 2013, and Renascimento in 2017.
He has collaborated with other Brazilian musicians such as Ivete Sangalo and Carlinhos Brown. In 2011, he faced accusations of plagiarism regarding some lyrics, though the existing history doesn't say how that was resolved.
