Ivan Noble formed the band Revolver in Mexico City with Jorge "Cha!" Romo on drums and Rafael "Rafita" López on bass. Their debut album "El Crucifijo de Mafeking" came out in 1985 and drew attention for its direct lyrics during a period when government censorship was common in Mexico.
In 1999, Noble wrote "Abrazame," a ballad that became widely known and helped establish his reputation as a songwriter. Other songs like "A Pan Y Agua" and "Decime Que Anoche Nunca Existio" show his range from straightforward rock to more reflective material.
He kept recording through the 1990s and early 2000s with albums including "El Espejo de los Sueños" and "La Casa." The music often mixed personal themes with observations about society, delivered with the basic rock setup of guitar, bass, and drums.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
