Ivanilson Tavares de Lima, who performed simply as Ivanilson, was a Brazilian gospel singer from Tucano, Bahia. He started writing and singing gospel songs as a teenager. In the early 1990s, he connected with the label Line Records, and his debut album 'Toque de Amor' came out in 1997.
His best-known song is 'Vem Me Tocar Senhor,' which was released in 2004. Other songs in his catalog include 'Pretendendo Te merecer' and 'Unidos Pelo Amor.' His music was built around straightforward, devotional lyrics and soulful melodies.
In 2007, he faced public allegations of marital infidelity, which he denied.
