Ivon Curi formed in Rome in the late 1960s, with Ivo and Antonio Tiberi, guitarist Bruno Biriaco, vocalist Antonella Botticelli, and percussionist Maurizio Abeni. They recorded songs like "Sob O Céu De Paris" and "Pigalle."
In 1975, their song "Tutti Buona Gente" became popular internationally. The album of the same name followed. Their lyrics sometimes drew criticism from conservative groups while others appreciated their social themes.
They kept recording through the 1980s, with albums like "Breve Storia del Sentimento" in 1980. Their catalog includes "Canção da Noite," "Delicadeza," and "A Valsa de Mil Tempos."
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
