Ivy formed in São Paulo in 1994 with Adriana Calcanhoto, André Abujamra, and Ana Carolina. Their debut album 'Ico Sapiens' came out that same year, followed by 'Quarto' and other records like 'Se Eu Não Te Amasse Tanto Assim' and 'Supernova'.
Their song 'Cicatriz' from 2003 drew attention for its content about sexuality and desire. Some Brazilian radio stations wouldn't play it, which led to conversations about what artists could say in their music.
Other songs like 'Tudo Que Não Sei' with Larry Taylor show their range. They kept recording into the 2000s with albums like 'Ivy Canta Noel' and 'Flor Encarnada'.
Keep it compact: a lyric you come back to, a live memory, or the part of the catalog you would point someone toward first.
